There are no doubts that loosing weight has numerous benefits. Besides the look, the health is the most important aspect. A weight that is right for your height, loosing fats, means to avoid many health problems. In the top of the diseases that are caused by the obesity are the heart diseases. The overweight persons are at the huge risk of suffering a lethal stroke. The angina, the high blood pressure and the high levels of the blood fats and of the cholesterol are also caused by the improper weight and may lead to the death of the person.  

There are two types of diabetes that can be avoided by having a right weight. The overweight persons are twice as likely to suffer from type 1 diabetes and also type 2 diabetes. The people who already have these diseases may control their blood sugar levels by loosing some weight and by doing regular exercises.

Another problem that can be avoided by loosing weight is the sleep apnea, a disease that cause stop breathing, make you sleepy during the day and even the failure of the heart.
Osteoarthritis is another health problem that can be avoided by loosing weight. It is a disease that affects the hips, the knees and the lower back because of the high pressure that these body`s parts have to endure.

Some types of cancer can also be avoided by not being overweight. The cancer of the ovary, uterus, colon, cervix, breast and gallbladder may appear at the overweight women, while the overweight men may develop the cancer of prostate, return and colon.
People who are overweight may suffer from gout, a disease that is painful and caused by the blood`s uric acid high levels. The people who have this disease and want to loose weight have to consult a doctor prior to starting any diet.

The gallstones and the Gallbladder disease are also on the list of the health problem that can be avoided by having the proper weight. The gallstones can be developed by the persons who try to loose weight very fast.

As you can see, the problems that are caused by the overweight are not few and not at all simple. Loosing the extra weight is much more than looking good and being able to wear your clothes again, is about having a good health, far way from these dangerous diseases.

Loosing weight is not a simply thing to do, it needs time, patience, support, specialists` advices, many exercises and a health diet. Loosing weigh is not about starving or about trying to getting off what you eat,  is about being health, with a weight that fits to your height, about eliminating the fats from your body and putting some fiber.

The reasons that make people want to loose weight are various: some of them don`t feel good with their own look, other people have health problems that really implies to get off some kilos. No matter the reason, loosing weight is a process that inquires first of all a visit to a doctor to examine you and decide what diet you should follow during the loosing weight process. Every step on the process must be done under the specialist`s advice. The doctor will ask you about your family`s history regarding some diseases, will make all the necessary investigation and after that will decide how much weight you need to loose.

The loosing of the extra pounds is not something that can happen is a day, so no drastic measures should be taken. Loosing weight fast will have as a result the loosing of the muscular mass and not the loosing of weight. The fast process of loosing pounds may lead to other health problems. The nutritionists say that the best is to loose one pound in a week.
In the obesity problem, for example, it seems that an important role is played by the every individual`s cultural influences as well as by the genetic structure of the person. So, not all the diets are proper for all people, it depends on each person`s body, metabolism, way of living, the way the body is processing the food, and so on.

A very well known problem is that some people loose some weight and than come back to the old weight. That`s why is very important to have a healthy diet and an exercises program to maintain the right weight.    

During the process of loosing weight the person who follows the program needs all the support from the family, friends, colleagues, relatives. The support groups also help a lot the people to take the process to a happy end. By understanding these persons and not by judging them we can help them to have a healthy body and a healthy life.
